Stavros Kouyioumtzis, born on July 22, 1932, in Thessaloniki, Greece, was a
notable composer. Kouyioumtzis's breakthrough came in the 1960s with
collaborations, notably with Georges Dalaras, for whom he composed over 80
songs. His compositions were also interpreted by Ánna Víssi and Háris Alexíou.
Throughout his career, Kouyioumtzis released albums including Νάτανε Το 21
(1970) and Όταν Ανθίζουν Πασχαλιές (1971). Some of his most celebrated songs
include "Me mou thymoneis matia mou" (1965) and "Na ‘tane to ’21" (1969).
Kouyioumtzis passed away on March 12, 2005.
