American singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress Stacey Lynn Swain, known
professionally as Stacey Q, was born on November 30, 1958, in Fullerton,
California. She began her career with a strong background in dance, after
studying ballet for eleven years and performing at Disneyland's Christmas
Fantasy on Parade events. In 1981, Swain joined the synthpop group Q, which
later evolved into SSQ due to copyright issues. The band released their debut
album Playback in 1983 under Enigma Records, featuring the single "Synthicide".
