Smart E's is a British electronic music group formed in the early 1990s by DJs
Luna-C (Chris Howell), Stealth (Nick Arnold) and T3 (Tom Horton). The group is
best known for its single "Sesame's Treet" (1992), a hardcore breakbeat track
based on the Sesame Street theme. The track was a big hit in the UK, reaching #2
on the UK Singles Chart and #60 on the US Billboard Hot 100, #6 in Australia.
The band was associated with the Suburban Base Records label, emblematic of the
UK rave scene. Smart E's is often cited as one of the pioneers of the happy
hardcore genre.
