Shweta Mohan
Shweta Mohan – born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on November 19, 1985 – is an
award-winning playback singer who has recorded over 700 songs in four south
Indian languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Telugu. She has also recorded
several songs for Hindi cinema (Bollywood). The daughter of playback singer
Sujatha Mohan, she started studying Carnatic music at the age of 9. In her early
days, Shweta Mohan sang in the chorus on several songs by iconic composer and
music director A. R. Rahman. She made her playback debut as a lead vocalist in
the 2005 Mollywood film By the People....
