Shri
Shrikanth Sriram, known professionally as Shri, and born in Bangalore, India, on
12 March 1972, is a British composer, multi‑instrumentalist and producer. After
14 years of classical tabla training under Pandit Nikhil Ghosh, he taught
himself bass, guitar and flute, and crafted a fretless bass guitar for bowed
playing. His debut solo album Drum the Bass came out in 1997, followed by East
Rain (2005), Seven Steps (2008) and Just a Vibration (2015). He collaborated
