Shayne Ward

Born to Irish parents, Shayne Ward began his music career in a vocal trio called Destiny with Tracy Murphy and Tracey Lyle, performing at pubs, clubs and weddings. In 2002 he entered TV talent show Popstars: The Rivals - the show that created Girls Aloud - and managed to reach the final 30. In 2005 he entered the second series of The X Factor and, mentored by Louis Walsh, went on to beat Journey South and Andy Abraham in the final.
