Shannon Brown
Shannon Leigh Brown, born on July 23, 1973, in Spirit Lake, Iowa, is an American
country music singer. She started her career touring the Midwest with her father
before moving to Nashville, Tennessee. In 1997, Shannon signed her first
recording contract with Arista Nashville and released her debut single "I Won't
Lie" the following year, which charted on the Billboard Hot Country Singles &
Tracks. In 2001, she left Arista Nashville to sign with BNA Records and released
