Shane Patrick Paul Roche, known as Shane Richie, was born on March 11, 1964, in
Kensington, London, to Irish parents. He began his professional career as a
bluecoat entertainer at Pontins holiday camp Little Canada on the Isle of Wight
during adolescence and later transitioned into stand-up comedy. His first
notable television appearances included the Sky TV chat show Jameson Tonight,
