Shahid Parvez
Shahid Parvez Khan, commonly known as Shahid Parvez, born on October 14, 1954,
in Mumbai, India, is an Indian classical sitar maestro from the Imdadkhani
gharana. He began his musical journey under the tutelage of his father, Ustad
Aziz Khan, and uncle Hafeez Khan. Throughout his career, he received numerous
awards, including the Kalajyoti Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020, the Sangeet
Natak Akademi Award in 2006, and the Padma Shri Award in 2012.
