Andrew James Ramanauskas, known professionally as Sgt. Slick, was born in
Melbourne, Australia, and emerged as a house music DJ and producer. After
developing his skills in local clubs, he released the debut single "White
Treble, Black Bass" in May 1998, which peaked at Number 69 on the Australian
ARIA Singles Chart and topped club charts in Australia and Europe, earning him
the 1998 ARIA Award for Best Dance Release. In July 2001 he followed with "Let
It Ride", reaching Number 95 on the ARIA Charts and receiving a nomination for
