Be bop
Tenor saxophonist Scott Hamilton's swing style, blended with a touch of bebop, has been popular since his first albums in 1977. His long career has included numerous collaborations and some forty albums as a leader, including Tenorshoes (1979), Major League (1986) and Groovin' High (1991). In 1998, the album Red Door , a tribute to his role model Zoot Sims, won him critical acclaim. His albums continue to top the charts, as evidenced by Back in New York (2005) and Across the Tracks (2008).
