Sava
Sava is a German folk music project founded in 2004 by Birgit
Muggenthaler‑Schmack and Oliver Pade, both members of Schandmaul and Faun. The
duo released their debut album Aire in 2004, featuring newly composed pieces
with bagpipes, whistles, flutes, harps, hurdy‑gurdy, cittern, nyckelharpa,
tambourine, violin and other historic instruments. Their second album,
Metamorphosis, appeared in 2008, with Birgit Muggenthaler‑Schmack handling most
