Michiru Sasano (笹野みちる), born 30 October 1967 in Muko, Japan, is a Japanese pop
singer and songwriter. While attending Doshisha University in 1988, she formed
the pop band Tokyo Shōnen, serving as its songwriter and vocalist, and later
came out as a lesbian. After the group disbanded, Sasano launched a solo career
in 1993, signing with Victor Entertainment. Her debut single, "Kanojo To Itai!",
was released on 21 October 1993, followed by her self‑titled album Sasano
