Enongo Ahou Lumumba‑Kasongo, known professionally as Sammus, and born on
20 March 1986 in Rhinebeck, New York, is an American rapper, producer, and
academic. After earning a BA from Cornell University in 2008, she began
producing under the name DJ Eno in high school and released her debut EP Fly
Nerd in 2010. Sammus continued to build her catalogue with M’other Brain (2012)
and Prime (2013), the latter becoming the bestselling rap album on Bandcamp that
