Born Samuel Robert Barber in Frohna, Missouri, on April 15, 2003, country
singer, songwriter and musician Sam Barber wrote his first songs as a teenager,
before studying civil engineering. Still a student, he posted his first videos
on social networks in 2021, mainly covers such as Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Simple Man",
but also "Ophelia" by The Lumineers. The audience for his first personal track,
"Run Away High", encouraged him to audition for American Idol, but he was not
