Salad, an alternative rock group from London, was formed in 1992. The initial
lineup included Dutch vocalist/keyboardist Marijne van der Vlugt, guitarist Paul
Kennedy, bassist Pete Brown, and drummer Rob Wakeman. Van der Vlugt had
previously worked as a model and video jockey for MTV Europe before forming
Salad with her then-boyfriend Kennedy. Their first two releases, the Kent EP and
"Diminished Clothes", were released on their own Waldorf label in 1993 and
