French singer-songwriter Damien Saez was born in Saint-Jean de Maurienne
(Savoie) on August 1, 1977. At the end of 1999, he appeared on the French scene
under the name Saez, with the single "Jeune et con", which was an immediate
success. In his lyrics, he adopts a political stance close to that of
alterglobalism, and asserts the heritage of committed French chanson. From rock
