Robert Valentino
Robert Valentine, also known as Roberto Valentini and Roberto Valentino, was
born around 167 in Leicester, England, and was an English composer, recorder
player, oboist, and violinist, whose career began with recorder instruction from
his father, Thomas Follentine, a town musician. After relocating to Rome in the
early 1700s, he published Op. 1: 12 Trio sonatas in Amsterdam in 1708, marking
his breakthrough in the European market. Subsequent releases, including Op. 2:
