Robert Treviño, born in 1984, is a Mexican‑American conductor who grew up in
Texas. After studying conducting at the University of Texas at Arlington and
pursuing further studies under David McGill at Roosevelt University, he made
his conducting debut in Wuppertal, Germany, in 2003. Treviño served as associate
conductor for the New York City Opera and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra
before becoming music director of the Basque National Orchestra in 2017 and
chief conductor of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra in 2019. His discography with
