Richard Underhill is a Canadian jazz saxophonist from Salmon Arm, British
Columbia. He graduated in 1979 and co-founded The Shuffle Demons, touring
extensively across Canada and Europe from 1986 to 1997. Underhill's solo career
began with Tales from the Blue Lounge (2002). He released several albums,
including Moment In Time (2005) and Kensington Suite (2007). He has collaborated
with artists such as The Neville Brothers, Taj Mahal, and Kathleen Edwards.
Underhill ran for mayor of Toronto in 2014 but withdrew his candidacy to endorse
Olivia Chow.
