Richard James, born on March 27, 1975 in Carmarthen, Wales, is a singer-songwriter known for his roles as guitarist and bassist. He co-founded Gorky's Zygotic Mynci in 1991, initially serving as a bassist before taking over guitar duties after John Lawrence left the band. James contributed to writing and performing lead vocals on several songs with the band. After Gorky's Zygotic Mynci disbanded in 2006, he released his debut solo album The Seven Sleepers Den.
