Richard Dworsky
Richard A. Dworsky is an American pianist, composer, and music director who was
born in the United States in 1953. He is famous for his long-standing tenure as
the music director and pianist for the radio variety show A Prairie Home
Companion and for his work on the film of the same name. Dworsky performed
weekly on the program as the pianist and bandleader for Guy’s All-Star Shoe
Band. In 2006, he served as the pianist, conductor, arranger, and composer for
the film A Prairie Home Companion, in which he also appeared as the bandleader.
