Rhymin Simon
Simon Michaelis, known as Rhymin Simon, was born on July 29, 1976, in Berlin. He
discovered rap through artists like Public Enemy and 2 Live Crew during his
school years. At 18, he moved to Kreuzberg where he met Sido and B-Tight,
forming the hip-hop group Die Sekte. Rhymin Simon's first appearance was on the
tape Wissen~Flow~Talent by Royal TS in 1998. His debut solo album, …Mit Pint Und
Pegel, followed in 2000. In 2001, Sekte signed with Aggro Berlin but left due to
creative differences. Subsequent albums include Egoboost (2003), Kingpintin'
(2005), and Essi Duz It / Letzte Lie...
