Revocation, a technical death and thrash metal band from Boston, Massachusetts,
was formed in 2006 by David Davidson, Anthony Buda, and Phil Dubois-Coyne.
Initially known as Cryptic Warning from 2000 to 2006, they released their debut
album Sanity's Aberration in 2005. Dissatisfied with the production quality,
they changed their name to Revocation in 2006. Their first album under the new
name, Empire of the Obscene, was released in November 2007 and marked a
