Clay Evans, born on June 23, 1925, in Brownsville, Tennessee, was an African
American Baptist pastor and gospel singer. He graduated from Carver High School
and later attended Chicago Baptist Institute for seminary education, Northern
Seminary, and The University of Chicago Divinity School. Clay Evans founded the
Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Chicago on September 10, 1950. His music
