Resistencia, a reggae and rock band from Argentina, was formed in 1993 in
Billinghurst, San Martín, Buenos Aires. Their first album Cuentas Pendientes was
released independently in 1996. The group released Resistencia + IVA in 2000. In
2008, they released the DVD Worrrrssss!!!!, featuring covers of "Iron Lion Zion"
by Bob Marley and "Bush Doctor" by Peter Tosh. In 2012, lead vocalist Luis Alfa
left due to internal differences, leading to a name change to simply
Resistencia. The reformed band released Alma de Hierro in 2014 under their new
moniker.
