René Pérez Joglar, who goes by the name Residente, is a hip-hop performer from
Puerto Rico who gained fame as a member of the Latin Grammy Award-winning group
Calle 13. Born on February 23, 1978, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he studied art at
the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia, before returning
