Born in Paris, France on December 24, 1962, Renaud Garcia-Fons is an acclaimed jazz double bassist. He began his musical journey by playing the piano at the age of five and then moving to studying classical guitar three years later. In his early teens, he briefly played rock music before he began training on double bass and embracing jazz. Renaud Garcia-Fons attended the Conservatoire de Paris, where he perfected his unique playing style. As a member of the National Jazz Orchestra, he collaborated on numerous recordings.
