Rebecca Carrington, born on January 17, 1971 in Epsom, Surrey, England, is an
English music comedian. She began playing the piano at age four and switched to
the cello two years later under her grandmother's influence. Carrington studied
at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and earned a Master of
Music from Rice University in Houston, Texas. Her early career as a cellist
included performances with notable orchestras such as the London Symphony
