Gregory Shorter Jr., known professionally as Ras G, was an American record
producer and DJ born on December 11, 1978, in Los Angeles, California. Shorter
began his career in 2005 with the release of the split EP Day & Night. In 2006,
he released the EP Beats of Mind. Ras G co-founded Poo-Bah Records and was
associated with Brainfeeder. His prolific career saw the release of numerous
albums, including Ghetto Sci-Fi (2008), I of the Cosmos (2008), Brotha from
