Ramón Vargas
Ramón Vargas, born September 11, 1960, in Mexico City, Mexico, is a Mexican
operatic tenor. Vargas launched his career in 1982 performing in Joseph Haydn's
Lo speziale after winning the Carlo Morelli National Vocal Competition. Vargas
trained at the Cardenal Miranda Institute and the Vienna State Opera School
under Leo Müller before refining his technique with Rodolfo Celletti. Vargas
released recordings including Jules Massenet's Werther in 1999, Gaetano
Donizetti's La favorite in 2000, México Lindo in 2000, Verdi Arias in 2001,
Giuseppe Verdi's Alzira in 2001, Arie Antiche in 2...
