Rachel Newton
Rachel Newton, born October 28, 1985, is a Scottish singer and harpist from
Edinburgh. After studying Folk and Traditional Music at Newcastle University,
she formed The Shee in 2005, which released A Different Season (2008) and
Decadence (2010). Newton’s solo career started with The Shadow Side (2012),
nominated for Scots Trad Music Awards Album of the Year. Subsequent releases
include Changeling (2014), Here’s My Heart Come Take It (2016), West (2018), and
