PRODUCE 101 JAPAN SEASON2 is a Japanese reality competition series, the sequel
to Produce 101 Japan, in which 101 trainees competed to form an 11-member boy
band handled by Lapone Entertainment. The show premiered in 2021, and its
permanent lineup was chosen through online and live viewer voting, culminating
in the debut of the final eleven under the name INI. During the series the show
released the EP 40 Boys 5 Concepts, which reached number 2 on the Japanese
digital albums chart, and the show’s first original album, PRODUCE 101 JAPAN
