Desiree Carole Heslop, known professionally as Princess, was born on November
28, 1961, in the United Kingdom. She began her career as a backing vocalist for
various artists and bands, including Osibisa, before transitioning to a solo
artist. Her breakthrough came with the hit single "Say I'm Your Number One",
