Kavi Pradeep was an Indian poet and songwriter born Ramchandra Narayanji Dwivedi
on February 6, 1915, in Badnagar. After graduating from the University of
Lucknow in 1939, he moved to Bombay and wrote lyrics for the film Kangan. He
achieved significant recognition for the nationalistic songs in the 1940 film
Bandhan, including “Chal Chal Re Naujawan”. Pradeep became a celebrated figure
in nationalistic literature with the release of the 1943 film Kismet, which
