Plebe Rude, a Brazilian post-punk group from Brasília, was formed in July 1981
by Philippe Seabra, André X, and Jander Bilaphra. The band's early influences
included the Clash, leading them to perform under the name Clash City Rockers.
Plebe Rude gained attention after performing with Legião Urbana at a rock
festival in Patos de Minas in September 1982. Their debut album, O Concreto Já
Rachou, was released in 1986 under EMI and featured collaborations with Fernanda
Abreu and George Israel. The band's music often addressed social and political
