Pink Turns Blue, a German rock band, was formed in 1985 in Cologne by Thomas
Elbern and Mic Jogwer. Their early sound drew from new-wave groups like The
Cure. In 1986, they won a competition at WDR, leading to their first studio
recordings produced by Volkmar Kramarz. Elbern left the band in 1987, with
Jogwer taking over guitar duties and "Ruebi" Walter joining as bassist and
keyboardist. Their debut album, If Two Worlds Kiss, was released in 1987 under
Fun Factory!. The band's second album, Meta, followed in 1988, featuring the
