Peter Kopp
Peter Kopp, born in 1967 in Wernigerode, Germany, is a German conductor and
choir director. After completing his training as a church musician, Kopp studied
conducting at the Dresden University of Music under Siegfried Kurz and
Hans‑Dieter Pflüger, leading the Dresdner Bach Choir as a student. From 1995 to
2017, he was choirmaster of the Dresden Kreuzchor, serving as its acting musical
director during the vacancy in the Kreuzkantor position in 1996. Kopp founded
the Vocal Concert Dresden in 1993 and has served as a lecturer at the
