Peiraguda is a French folk group originating from Périgord, formed in 1977 by
Jean Bonnefon, Patrick Salinié, and Jean-Louis Garrigue. The group is recognized
for its poetic lyrics and harmonious arrangements, which blend traditional
Occitan texts with variety music. The group’s debut studio album, Lo Leberon,
was released in 1978, followed by Raiç in 1980 and La Dama Pijonièra in 1982.
The group became inactive in 1988 as the members pursued the parallel project
Bigaròc with Joan-Pau Verdier. Peiraguda resumed activity in 2003 and released
