Pedro Abrunhosa
Pedro Machado Abrunhosa was born in Porto, Portugal on 20 December 1960 and
emerged as a singer, songwriter, and composer. Trained in jazz, he began
performing with jazz bands in the 1980s and taught at music schools before
co‑founding the Jazz School of Porto. His solo breakthrough came in 1994 with
the album Viagens, which sold over 140,000 copies and reached number one on the
Portuguese charts, making him one of the most successful artists in the country
