Phillip B. Klingler is an American composer and sound artist born in 1960 in
Flint, Michigan. Known professionally as PBK, he has been active in the
experimental music underground since 1986 and reached wider visibility through
the independent cassette culture of the 1980s. Klingler lived in Puerto Rico
between 1992 and 1996 where he produced the recording Listening to the World
Vibrate (1995). His recording career included the studio recordings Five
Manifestoes (1992) and Macrophage / The Toil and the Reap (1992). He
