Paulien van Schaik (born June 7, 1967) is a Dutch jazz singer and composer from
Utrecht. van Schaik studied at the Konservatorium Utrecht and the Berklee
College of Music in Boston. She won second prize for songwriting at the Grote
Prijs van Nederland and released the single "“If I Were You”" in 1998. Her debut
album, Tenderly: Live at Baseline Theatre (2000), was a collaboration with
bassist Hein van de Geyn and received the Edison Jazz Publieksprijs in 2002. van
