William Paul McDonald, known professionally as Paul McDonald, is an American
singer-songwriter born on August 29, 1984, in Auburn, Alabama. Raised in
Huntsville, Alabama, he began his music career as the lead singer of Hightide
Blues, which later renamed to The Grand Magnolias in 2010. In August 2010,
McDonald and his band moved to Nashville, Tennessee, and released the debut
album The Grand Magnolias (2011), which peaked at number 12 on the Billboard
