Páll Óskar Hjálmtýsson, known professionally as Páll Óskar and Paul Oscar, was
born on March 16, 1970, in Reykjavík, Iceland. He is an Icelandic pop singer,
songwriter, and disc jockey. From a young age, Páll Óskar displayed artistic
talent, singing at private functions, with choirs, and for media advertisements.
As a child, he recorded the song "Nú árið er liðið," but he made his
professional debut with his first album Stuð in 1993. He later formed part of
