Son of the great Estonian conductor Neeme Järvi, Paavo Järvi is following in the
same footsteps. Despite Neeme's influence, the conductor born in 1962 has made a
name for himself in the world of classical music, devoting his talent to
classical composers (Beethoven, Mozart, Bruckner, Mahler) as well as
contemporary ones (El Khoury, Escaich, Arvo Pärt) and Estonian composers (Erkki
Sven Tüür). Encouraged by Leonard Bernstein, his recordings of Sibelius (the
