Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi is an Italian symphonic ensemble
based in Milan. Founded in 1993 by Vladimir Delman, Marcello Abbado and Luigi
Corbani, the group performed its first concerts at the Auditorium di Milano
Fondazione Cariplo. The orchestra’s recording history featured the albums Verdi:
Heroines (2000), which received a Gramophone Award, and Verdi: Messa Solenne
(2000). The ensemble subsequently issued the recordings Puccini Discoveries
