Ojārs Grīnbergs, born on November 19, 1942 in Riga, Latvian General Area, was a
Soviet and Latvian pop singer. After founding the ensemble Zvyozdochka during
his military service, he gained prominence with the group's victory at the
Liepaja Amber competition. In 1966, he joined the Riga Variety Orchestra, and by
1973 he performed a duet with Margarita Vilcāne. Grīnbergs released "Mums
vajadzīgs miers" (1974), Kāpēc man dziedāt svešu dziesmu (2002), and Ojārs
