Noel McLoughlin
Noel McLoughlin is an Irish singer and guitarist born in 1955 in Limerick. He
began performing at age 15 and was influenced by the ensembles The Johnstons and
Planxty. During the 1970s, he was a member of the groups Cromlach and Celtic
Tradition. McLoughlin toured Europe and the United States as a solo performer of
Irish folk songs and ballads and appeared on Irish television programs. In 1984,
he collaborated with Celtic Tradition on the recording I Have Waited Many a
