Negash Ali, born on November 27, 1990, in Denmark, is a Danish/Eritrean rapper
and hip-hop artist. At age 16, Negash Ali's mother fled to Europe during the
conflict between Eritrea and Ethiopia, leaving behind her husband, who was
working at a local hospital. The family spent five years in refugee camps before
being granted asylum in 1995. Negash Ali's breakthrough came when he joined the
group Majors with DMC winner Dj Noize, releasing their critically acclaimed
