Nashville Grass
Nashville Grass was an American bluegrass band founded in 1969 by Lester Flatt,
following his departure from Earl Scruggs and the Foggy Mountain Boys. The group
initially included several former members of the Foggy Mountain Boys. Throughout
its existence, the band saw numerous personnel changes, notably including Marty
Stuart, who joined at the age of 13. Lester Flatt continued to lead and perform
with Nashville Grass until he died in 1979. Following Flatt's passing, John Ray
"Curly" Seckler took over as the band leader.
